New Super Mario Coin Hunt

for Goodby Silverstein & Partners

To help launch Nintendo’s amazing DS game, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Goodby joined forces with us to develop a web game that launched players into a coin-collecting adventure across the interwebs.  Built as a Flash Bookmarklet, the game inserted coin collectibles into popular websites (including CartoonNetwork.com, MiniClip.com, Nintendo.com and Youtube).  Users grabbed coins with their mouse in an effort to advance through the levels with the hope of unlocking the mystery prize!  What could it be?!  

In addition to the game, we also tackled the development of a game-based screensaver and the accompanying traffic driver production which included a treasure chest of golden AS3 standard ads.
Pipes, parachutes and Bullet Bill - All of the greats are accounted for in this multi-site coin hunt adventure. Progress was tracked using the Bookmarklet’s interface docked at the top of the screen.  Persistent players who collected every coin were rewarded with a secret prize!  (Spoiler Alert:  It was a coin clock screensaver)
