Wieden + Kennedy invited us to develop a collection of interactive assets for the Old Spice Holiday campaign. Starting with a series of standard and rich media ads, the campaign included a hero module for OldSpice.com and three microsites featuring Isaiah Mustafa's gifts to the world.
MonitorYourSodiumIntake.com offered an Old Spice cross-stitch pattern for the 542,863,124 elderly ladies of planet earth. The site featured a functioning age gate that required a birth date of at least 1945 in order to receive the gift.
YouAreAWonderfulPersonWithManyUniqueGiftsAndTalents.info was built for the 914,567,391 people who were feeling down on Dec 8th, 2011. It showcased a digital mirror and a voice-over from Mr. Mustafa that could "forcibly pry the corners of your mouth upwards into a smile.'
DevastatingExplosions.com was created for the 6,085,536,858 people who live on continents that start with a vowel. Recipients of this gift were treated to a Flash button that generated eye-shredding explosions when pressed. The site quickly went viral, producing features on Gizmodo.com, Reddit.com and Metafilter.com, thus proving Isaiah's claim that "every single person in the world likes explosions." Over a million explosions were generated within the first 24 hours.
